There exists a big interest in a unified digital identity because of the indirect creation of central national or even supranational databases in which all actions of all inhabitants are registered and stored.
From 2018 to 2022 the EU Commission's detailed 'Roadmap on Vaccination' extends, and the first and probably most important point on this roadmap is the vaccination card for all EU citizens, “that is compatible with electronic immunisation information systems and recognized for use across borders".
The action plan includes above all to counter online vaccine misinformation and to invest in behavioural and social science research on the determinants of vaccine hesitancy. Skills to address hesitant populations and promote behavioural change should be improved.
